Ever wondered what is inside a wasp nest?
1 July 2015This wasp nest was in one of BTP’s stores. We currently have 2 active nests in our buildings and find in fascinating to watch them evolve. As qualified professional pest controllers it is great to see close up what the competition is up to. Unfortunately one nest had to go because the occupants were becoming very angry when we entered the store.
Here is it in place:
Here is it once we removed it – no chemicals were used.
The larve can be seen in the chambers and on the floor also the caps over the chambers where the eggs turn to larve and pupate in to adult wasps that sting!
This nest did not go to waste, the local song bird population devoured it in an hour no doubt feeding their young. Perfect food chain and no chemicals were used so organic too!
